Greetings! 
You have arrived on the blog site of The Vintage Inkwell Academy or simply TVIA. We're an on-line blog, resource and collaboration space for developing artists and illustrative content creators. 

Our goal is to gather the finest old-school artist training methods, tips, tools and techniques to help produce the next generation of outstanding illustrators and artists. To facilitate this, we've carefully curated a massive library of traditional art instruction books guaranteed to help you become the best artist possible. 

In my personal studies in traditional illustration and its associated methodologies, I discovered forgotten treasures containing vital, art instructional knowledge. I began harvesting as much as I could find, and these resources were oft-times very difficult to track down and obtain. I kept hoping to find a central place that I could go that had housed all the resources I sought. Alas, there was none to be found. I was inspired and driven to preserve and share this precious, old-school knowledge I uncovered, before it was lost forever. So, I decided to create a home for what I had found and The Vintage Inkwell Academy was born!

With TVIA, I aimed to spark up dialogues and interest in an age that produced legendary creators and incredible creative works that I’d love to see flourish once again. We specialise in promoting vintage style illustration techniques and Platinum & Golden-Age style comic book creation. If you’re an artist, animator, art student, writer or creative content creator and love the world of vintage illustration or comics, then come on in and make yourself right at home.
